I've read the whole series of his books to date. This one was a little more politically inclined than others, which wasn't really necessary to plot or character development. Seemed like he just stuck in a few political hot buttons as author commentary. Still, I liked the book. Definitely needs a proofreader. The errors in this one exceeded those of previous books. Obvious errors that a fresh set of eyes catch quickly. Really off-putting. If Culver wants to go big, he needs to hire a professional proofreader. Otherwise, the story was, as always, engaging. A page-turner. Love detective Rashid. Having lived for a couple years in Indianapolis, I enjoy the setting, too.Product details

one of the most exciting Ash Rashid books yet, with a twist at the end that wasnt expected. could be a movie. Keep the writing coming.
Chris Culver's writing is sharper and plot lines more intense with every new Ash Rashid book. Hard to put this one down! I can't wait until the next book.
Ash Rashid is a lieutenant in the Midwest tracking criminals. The plot thickens as the murders continue. Lt. Rashid is a practicing Muslim, recovering alcoholic and devoted husband and father. This is a difficult case and his skills and faith are challenged.
I am truly amazed why this author does not garner a better readership? The protagonist is a troubled but likeable lieutenant who happens to be Muslim. This is the 6th in the series and they get better and better a real page turner, he is very reminiscent of Michael Connelly's Harry Bosch and throughly enjoyable. If I'm going to.be picky he used Olivia instead of Emilia a couple of times and it threw me for a second . Otherwise perfect, great read!!
I'm a huge fan of Chris Culver. I've read all his books, and I absolutely love the Ash Rashid series. The Abbey is my personal fave (book #1), but this one is for sure my 2nd fave. Yes, as another reviewer said, if you love the Harry Bosch series (and I do), you'll certainly like Ash Rashid. He's flawed and human and not a "super hero." He's totally relatable and the stories/dialog are written with a bit of humor which only enhances the reality of who Ash is. At times reading this book I felt nervous and anxious, on the edge of my seat, and I love the twist at the end. Definitely one of his better Ash books. Chris is a talent and I hope he keeps this series going.
Cannot WAIT for Book 7 to come out! Chris Culver doesn't waste any time getting into the plot and he holds you on the edge of your seat the entire book. I was satisfied starting with, "The Abbey," and then reading in sequence all the way through, but after Book 6, it's like I'm thirsting in the desert and I know there's H2O out there - it's just waiting to find it that's driving me nuts. C'MON Chris, with Book 7!
I have read every one of Chris Culver's books and am a huge fan of the Ash Rashid series. I'm impressed with how this author has fine-tuned his writing skills with each new book. No Room For Good Men is so timely in its subject matter and is quite a page turner. You won't be able to put this book down. I recommend reading the books in order to experience character development, which is so enjoyable. Ash Rashid is a man extraordinaire with a family to match. These characters will have you laughing and crying, and you will continue to learn so much from them. This is a suspenseful mystery full of surprises and likeable main characters. Don't miss reading this book!
