Maggie endured the rigors of medical school only to have childhood demons rear their ugly heads and fight to drag her back to the underbelly of society she clawed to escape years before. She survives a deadly traffic accident, emerging barely alive with a newborn infant in tow.
Maggie understands their only hope lies in grasping the opportunity for a blank slate and leaving behind her name and everything she once hoped and dreamed for her future. It means surrendering all and rising from the ashes as Tess Christensen with her baby daughter, Abigail Joy.
Forging ahead into the unknown will take more courage, determination, and hard work than even she knows. None of it comes easy, and just when luck seems to not only have deserted her, but to have laughed and kicked dirt in her face, fate steps in and offers the chance for a home and a love she never believed possible.
Will she find the strength to risk everything on a man who won’t trust her, or will she do what’s always kept her safe in the past? Will she leap? Or will she turn and run?
Blank Slate The McCallisters Book 1 edition by Natalie Calder Romance eBooks
Wow, what an amazing story.Maggie Olsen had taken care of herself since she was a child.
At times hungry, homeless and scared the one thing she
always managed to do was get herself to school. She knew
that an education was the only way to get herself
out of the gutter. She did, she acheived her
goal and became a doctor!
Her MIA mother Sheri came back into her life and Maggie
lost everything she worked for. Gone, everything.
There are connections to the mob, murders, and Maggie
had no choice but to run/hide and begin with a
new name and disappear only to start again.
Maggie is now Tess and had even a bigger responsibilty
to care for,one she never could have imagined.
She meets the McCallister sisters and her life is about
to change again this time for the better. Oh yea, there's a brother
Hickory McCalllister; hunk times 10! Whew!
I really liked this book, the sisters were incredible, funny
and their family has secrets of their own.
Secrets that allows them to "see" and "feel" even "predict"
what lies ahead! Sort of!
I liked the fact that the author gave the secondary characters
a real life, it gave another view of who the sisters
were and even allowed for their life to continue past where
you meet them in the story.
For those who dislike raw in your face sex. don't worry here,
what you will find is a story of what starts out as mistrust
turn to attraction and maybe even love.
Don't miss this one.

Blank Slate The McCallisters Book 1 edition by Natalie Calder Romance eBooks Reviews
Was fun to read and the flow was just right. Would love to explore the text of the family and their unique gifts...
Well done.
Nice read to pass the time, was a little here and then there though. But a likeable book. A bit of a straying but nice!
I really liked this story! It was sad at times but it has you cheering on the main character. Loved the book!
I got this book free from but I would have paid money any day to read it. Really great story, written very well and funny. I wish I could know more about the author cause I really love to know about a book 2.
I really enjoyed reading this book. I'm more of a PG 13 kind of reader. The author gave enough details without getting raunchy. There is romance and then there is sex, I prefer romance. I hope this author will continue with this family.

I am surprised there are not more reviews on this book. The book is a gem and it is free. The characters are great and the storyline is compelling. I look forward to the other books in the series from this talented author. The story is complete! No cliffhangers or waiting for the next book for a resolution. I will definitely read this author again and will be happy to pay to do so.
Maggie is the definition of a survivor. She overcomes poverty, family issues, crime and other tragedies. As soon as she has gotten a degree in her chosen field, she is dragged back in. Maggie has to start over unable to use her credentials and this time with a baby to care for. She eventually finds a Good situation only to have an egotistical lech force her back on the run. You feel for her as she and the baby travel the country with barely enough money to eat. I'm no spoiler but I think you'll like the last part too.
